That was an awesome display by Isaac and Westercamp. Great game. Both teams' defenses deserve a spot in the douchebag section.

at least montinis defense had a couple stops through turnovers in the second half. they stopped JC on downs a couple times in the game, once on a goal line stand. JC's defense got worse as the game went on to the point where they were getting ripped for long TD's on the first or second play of the drive again and again and again.

This makes Kaneland's lead with 3 minutes to go against Montini last week look very impressive.

Yeah, they were fortunate to get out of there with a win. Montini was down by as many as 10 points in the 2nd half. It just goes to show if you have a high school team with a competent quarterback and a stud wide receiver you can make a comeback.

Believe it or not, Ty Issac isn't ranked as a top player nationally, or in the state of Illinois. Its hard to believe really.
Thanksgiving weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year. Thanksgiving, cut down the X-Mas tree Friday, decorate the house, watch the HS football championships, & the Kids are home from College & their friends are hanging around the Scorehead household watching football.

It was a perfect weekend until the NBA lockout ended.

He was named the Sun-Times player of the year as a junior and is likely headed to this little college called Notre Dame. I would think that would get one ranked pretty highly locally if not nationally.

Holy shite.

You just know that will translate into lack of water breaks for them during next years spring / summer practices.

They got all their big runs on the same play. It was a run between the right guard and right tackle. Montini probably could have stopped him from doing it, but they chose not to put Westercamp in at safety. They did use him there in the Kaneland game. Once Issac got past the linebackers he blew right by the safetys who repeatedly broke contain. All they need to do was to force him to the sideline. The safetys for Montini were fairly small and Issac is at least 6'1" and apparently pretty fast. If your safetys can't tackle your team is in trouble.

Does USC usually give scholarships to running backs who aren't heavily recruited?

btw- cbssportsline had Isaac as the 7th top recruit in the country while espn had him 17th.

Isaac and Westerkamp will be playing on Sundays...and ESPN will do a story about their H.S. Football Championship.
