Especially if Alabama wins 9-6.

LSU would have an argument given they would have beaten 8 ranked teams this season, including a "play-in" game (the SEC championship) just to get into the National Championship. Whereas, Alabama only had to play 5 ranked teams, lost to the only one ranked higher than 12 (at the time), and didn't have to play an extra game just to get into the National Championship.

Oh I get they would have a legitimate complaint, I just think it would funny to see it all happen.

They would each have 1 loss and each have beaten the other, but yet Bama would have the National Championship.

Good stuff.

This is another problem I have with the BCS allowing a non-conference champion to play in the National Championship -- they could, especially in this case, have to play one less game than the team they are playing against. Basically, unfairly penalizing the better team by giving them another chance to fail, get players injured, ect.

To add to Alabama, if LSU wins Satruday, not only would Alabama not have won their conference, not even the division there in.

I'm not counting out Oklahoma State, need LSU and Oklahoma to win this weekend, then beat Oklahoma and see what happens.

I hate that I have to root for Gene Chizik.

But after watching the ESPN movie, I can't hope for good things for the team Ole Anderson cheers for.

War Motherfucking Eagle.

At least Saban isn't thanking Jesus for making them win like Chizik did last year.

How bad would it look if a 6-6 UCLA teams wins the PAC-12 title over Stanford or Oregon?

Bad, but they won't.

They'll get their butts handed to them and then fire Neuheisel.

I hope Georgia wins, then we can possibly have two teams who did not win their conference title play for the national championship in a sport that does not have a playoff but selects the two best teams.

Not if they cant beat Georgia. I mean Boise St beat Georgia in the state of Georgia this year. But if they lose next week, you are telling me the top two teams in the country could not even win their conference?

Kinda disappointed that the Bayor TTU game isn't on tonight. I don't need to see some of this other shit like UF FSU or Washington vs Washington state. Put RGIII on already.

LSU is the best team as of now.

Gotta win next week though.

i didn't say that; you, and a lot of other people, seem to shit on the fact that the SEC represents the national championship--and i get it with alabama. but why the fuck does LSU get shit on as well? i even took a while to be convinced, but after the way they handled arkansas, i think the negative shit should be on alabama, not LSU. doesn't surprise me from big ten fans, though, really.

They have an all time secondary, but the qb play is not consistent enough for me to say they are unbeatable. They have played most of the season like the best team in the country...

I just want a playoff man... Then there is no debate...

they have 3 running backs that could all start in the NFL. they don't need a quarterback. that's never really been LSU's style.

They kinda rely on their qb a lot. Even when saban was there. Someone has to help dwayne bowe get drafted... Agreed the rbs are always stout, and they are underated as far as producing nfl caliber talent... Jordan Jefferson was a highly regarded recruit who has never really panned out...

no, Jbills. they do not depend on their QB. except not to fuck things up, which is what russell would do from time to time, and what jefferson has done from time to time. and what does he excel at? running the football.

LSU has been a run first, play solid and sometimes opportune defense second, and then pass the football team. look at QB numbers vs. RB numbers through the years in the past decade and you'll see that.

Well, I guess if you've only watched the last four years of lsu football this would be your perception. Believe me, JJ gets killed down there for how terrible he is, and Les Miles is constantly criticized for the lack of depth @ qb... I agree w/ you the devense for lsu is nasty, but idk, I think Alabama's defense is just as good or better... 3 players f/ bama's d will be taken in the top 15 next april...

 are you going to seriously tell me that rohan davey, matt flynn and matt mauck were good QB's? davey was probably the only one i've seen that had an arm. even he had domanick davis.

no, LSU is a running back producer along with secondary and defensive linemen. that's what kind of football factory they are. and even i knew davey wouldn't translate into the NFL, even with his cannon of an arm.

edit: i don't wanna argue with you either, bills. we're cool. i just think i know my team, that's all. :)

I like the Stanford uni's tonight. Usually I think the pro combat series looks bad but I like these.

Is Notre Dame using a can of rustoleum gold spray paint on those helmets?
