I get that - but the one 10-page thread is a lot easier to avoid than the dozen+ threads that jbills has started. Most of the regular users browse by using the new/active posts buttons. The top ten threads are all jbills threads - and they are all on one topic. College football. And the majority of the threads he starts only have one short sentence. He isn't even contributing anything of substance in any of the threads.

Perhaps next baseball season we can have an individual thread for every single Cubs and Sox games too, that doing a thread for the entire series is so lame. People cannot really find the relevant information in them.

And maybe during the tour de france we can have a thread for each individual winner as well

First - CGS has never started 6 threads in an hour. And hers are ridiculed, rightly so most times. So jbills deserves the same treatment for this crap.

Ideally there would be a "championship week" thread and a "Heisman thread" where all discussion on these topics could take place. The first post would then break down all of the games and all of the candidates in a very shark like fashion. While the topics will most likely be discussed anyways, the current configuration of individual threads is not ideal.

When the games are actually on sometimes individual game threads pop up and turn into a mock game chat. That is the only purpose I can see these serving but then again those pop up with the game usually, not a week in advance.

If she hasn't dropped 6 worthless threads in an hour she has gotten damn close.

I don't understand why this concept is so difficult. Some people like the big ten, some like the sec, some only follow the huskies,s ome just like college football. Why make these people look thru 10 pages of nonsense for a score or comment about their fav conference or team?
