No, you don't. You'd kill for the bad bowl game that Purdue is going to.

BRick just crossed over into a whole new level of craziness, as hard as that is to believe.

Well, I'm assuming that they are off to the TicketCity Bowl on Jan. 2nd. I guess if the end up in Detroit it would be a wash.

It seems like they can't go lower than that though because Illinois can't jump them.

No offense, but I think Texas for a New Years Day* Bowl, even if it's the bad one, is better than Detroit or Mobile.

*-I know it's technically on the 2nd, but all of the NYD Bowls got bumped for the NFL.

You just told somebody else "no you don't" in response to them saying which team they enjoy watching more. And then you rambled on about why...... You crazy.

Um, JBills was the one who brought it up. I just gave my side of the story as to why he does not have a far more enjoyable experience.

I assumed he was saying that it is better to be a NIU fan than a Purdue fan. I was clearly wrong so I will simply respond that I have a far more enjoyable college football viewing experience rooting for Purdue.

Purdue is 6-6, they aren't going to any good bowl games. Nothing worth killing for.

I looked up your record against those teams. Let's just say its not good.

I have a hard time believing you'd be happy for NIU. I'm not sure i've seen you make a positive post about NIU. I guess to make yourself feel better you have to dog other teams.

The TicketCity Bowl would be better than any of the MAC tie in games by a mile. I agree it's not a great bowl game but it's always pretty decent to make a New Years Day* Bowl game.

It's about as expected for what Purdue is. Luckily for me, I missed the bad years they had pre-Tiller.

Weren't you the one to make the first shot in this thread? That's the problem on here. It's not like this forum is filled with Big Ten fans that constantly want to make fun of NIU. It's just when an NIU fan pops in and starts making comments that the natural "Wait a minute, a guy from a MAC school is mocking me" switch goes off and then you and spanky get all offended that someone dare say something. A few weeks ago you did the same thing when you bashed on Iowa and Purdue fans for no reason and lied about attending the Purdue/NIU game.

If you can dish it NIU_spanky then be willing to take it too.

You suck at multi-hunting, and please point out where I seemed offended in this thread. You aren't very good at reading emotions either.

Ah hell, let's make it a trifecta - you are the worst person at writing "sig bets" that I've seen on here.

It's just the feeling I get from watching you interact with me and the Illinois posters in the past about any slight towards NIU even when it's only a response to an NIU fan starting things. In case you haven't noticed, most people, including myself, have basically ignored NIU this year. I only made that minor slight towards NIU after NIU_Huskie once again made another stupid comment.

If you aren't NIU_Huskie then it's the strangest coincidence that you and him post pretty close to each other a lot, post similar thoughts, and he basically disappears unless it's an NIU post like he's just some guy who reads the board constantly but only is interested in talking about NIU and taking random shots at Big Ten schools.

NIU_Huskie is a mult, and no one else seems to care enough about NIU to talk about them, so it's just my guess.

Well, JBills did in this thread kind of, and Scorehead has used NIU to make fun of Illinois.

At least you have those two going for you.

Anyways, back to the real reason for this thread. What do you think about Wilson RFDC?

It's hard to imagine a rougher first season for him, and it will likely get slightly darker in the offseason with defections, but I do think they showed some improvement as the season went on and Houston and Roberson look like keepers.

I just find it interesting how people seem so hung up on "changing the culture" of IU football. Was it really that bad under Lynch? I know they didn't win as much as they'd like but a lot of IU people seem to indicate that the players were in control.

Random odd observation: Coach Hope for Purdue is wearing a whistle around his neck. What do you do with a whistle in a game??
 I just saw this. He actually puts it into his mouth during the game as some sort of nervous habit or something. Tiller used to chew ice chips.

I believe if Hope ever accidentally blows the whistle it's a 15 yard penalty. I can only imagine what the fan base would do to him if and when that happens.

I guess it's just another coincidence that NIU_Huskie has also talked smack about this chant.

Being a Purdue alum, you really shouldn't ask that in this thread.

I really do not know what to think about Wilson. I like some things that I saw this year. I think the did show some improvement and the played hard the entire year. I really think Roberson showed some promise at QB, and I think he will develop into a real nice QB over the next couple years, possibly a Randle-El type. But there are some major concerns. The defense is still absolutely brutal. Hopefully he can recruit some help for them in the next couple years.

I think the whole need for culture change goes way beyond Lynch. IMO Lynch was in over his head. He is not a head coach and let people and situations dictate how he was going to lead the program rather than him being the real leader. He only got the job because of the tough situation the program was in when Hep died. He provided some continuity in a tough time. Wilson seems to be the exact opposite of Lynch in most was so in my thinking that can only be good for the program.

But who really knows, it is Indiana. It is going to take a lot of work and some lucky breaks along the way to get to be a respected program.

It's just my opinion and others have mentioned similarities before to. If NIU_Huskie is a guy who comes on here to only talk about NIU and then disappears that's kind of funny too. Either way, it's enjoyable.

Now would be a good time to either reference the greatest win in NIU history they had against us or to mock the train mascot.
