Deng and Noah disappeared against Miami. I think Deng had one great game in that series. In the NBA,I judge what guys do in the playoffs. The regular season is full of games where teams show up "disinterested",burnt out from the rough schedule, etc.

That's why I snicker at the MVP chant for Rose. He blew chunks against Miami.

That's what happens when you look at more than box scores and highlights. Unfortunately there are many so called basketball fans that miss out on this skill.

I'm going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Regardless of you saying Howard is the tallest midget when it comes to centers, the guy is the best in the league right now, period. The guy changes the game on defense alone!!! Would you rather have Butler/Howard or Deng/Noah?

I would rather have Butler/Noah/Deng than just Howard and Butler.

When building a team you don't force your franchise player to play with ANYONE. You bring in guys that compliment their game. The Bulls didn't go out and try to get a dominant center to play with MJ because it would have been stupid.

Houston 94-95
Lakers... Kobe and Shaq
detroit pistons... Rasheed, billups, wallace, prince all forced together... I can keep going...

Rose had a bad series because of an injury and lack of experience. He's a winner. The same is the case for Noah and Deng.

That doesn't make any sense, Jimmy. With all due respect, the MVP is a regular season award. How Rose performed in the ECF means nothing to that regard.

I understand HOVA stating he would rather have Noah than Howard ONLY if he is saying so because he is simply used to seeing Noah in this system. But to generally state that you would prefer Noah over Howard for any other reason is lunacy.

Bulls added Rodman. He didn't look like a "fit" for any team despite his great rebounding.

Ok, well not me.

Deng needs to show me more for me to consider the guy untradeable for Howard.

Terrible... The bulls draft two guys f/ national champ teams and you can put your paxson way hard on to rest for one second to consider the possibility of having the best center in the game on your team.

Horrible hova.

Let the record show I've never been a fan of Paxson's. Know Your Board History. I also wasn't a fan of Noah's at first.

Are we now comparing Howard to Hakeem? Really? That's comedy gold right there. This is a PG league now in case you haven't noticed. When Howard is by far the best center in the league that should be clear.

So now Howard is actually a poor center because of the dominance of point guards? Is anyone else able to follow this?

No Howard is an above average center in a league full of bums. In addition to that fact the league is now a PG dominated league.

As I recall, Clyde drexler was forced on those hakeem teams... Things worked out well.

Clyde was a shell of his former self and his game was nothing like Rose game.

Ok, so you would rather have Noah and Deng instead of Deng and Howard? You could surround all of that in BF caps, flashing lights and on the back of a hatchback it would still be ridiculous.

Let's stop trying to compare Howard to guys like Shaq and Hakeem because he is nowhere near their class. They're all time greats. He's a couple notches above being just a guy. These comparisons are foolish and really don't help your argument. It just shows how poor it is.

You're the same guy that called Salmons and other marginal NBA players HoFers so excuse me for disregarding what you consider to be ridiculous.

So how is it that "this guy" knows that Deng and Howard is a better duo than Deng and Noah? What does that say about you?

Because this guy is STILL failing to keep up with the debate.

You mean the debate on whether Howard is an upgrade for the Bulls or not? You're right, I'm not keeping up with that debate because it shouldn't even be a question.

You're failing to keep up w/ your own points Hov. You should probably stop talking down to people.

Then why do you keep bringing them up. They're all time greats and better than Rose will ever be. You make Rose play with all time greats. You don't force Rose to play with a guy that will never be an all time great and will isn't better than him. You put guys around Rose that compliment him. Similar to what the Bulls did with MJ and what the Lakers did in LA post Shaq.

Three consecutive defensive players of the year awards (only player in NBA history to be a consecutive threepeater), shot 60% from the field last year, extremely smart big man who moves his feet very well, future Hall of Fame inductee.

I would be happier than the day the Bears traded for Jay.
