No shit. And Chris Paul may still walk after the season unless he's signing an extension.

Not sure this makes them better.

I have been a Lamar Odom fan for years, he is a great guy to have on your team. If you dont pay him as a Star, you get a 7 footer who can play all positions. This is a huge edge when he is playing against guys 6 inches smaller than him.

Still I am happy to see KLoDom have to live in New Orleans

Huge gamble by the lakers, but it prolly clears up some cap space.

I have no idea who the power forward is.
And then there's Andrew Bynum who shoulders the load of this unit. The last time he played 82 games was in 06-07. Here's how many games he's played each year since then:
35
50
65
54

and of course, there's the Mike Brown factor.

I'm not feeling it.

I feel that the good Dr. Buss is not done yet amigo.

Honestly, I don't think this move makes the Lakers better. As KS said the hornets won this deal. The lakers dumped some salary and will be competitive if they keep this squad, but I do not think they are done trading...

Additionally, Houston made this move to clear up cap space to make a run at Nene. They might have a couple of nice bigs down there in Nene and Gasol if it all works out. Then again, that's about ALL they'll have.

Nene' too creeky in that operated knee. He's another guy playing @ 75% of what he could have been before the knee surgery.

The NBA is now pushing New Orleans GM Dell Demps to pull the plug on the trade and keep Chris Paul, league sources tell Y! Sports.

One source close to the three-team Chris Paul trade talks just told ESPN.com: "The deal is off."

Makes no sense. I have never seen that before... Did the league just do this whole charade to generate interest?

I want to doubt it. "Want" being the key word.

So if the deal is dead today, that doesn't mean it couldn't be back on tomorrow.

This is nuts. This was a *BAD* trade by the Lakers, but other owners so jealous of their shiny object they blocked it anyway.

League just might be pushing to keep the lid on anything "official" until the December 9th date.

All along, the league office had allowed the Hornets to negotiate the Chris Paul trade without interference, sources said. And then, this.

Several GM's were lauding the haul of players and the draft pick that Demps was able to get back for Chris Paul in the deal. Now what?
