No funny punchline on it's way ... just thought I'd put this fact out there.

Had 3700 points in the account yesterday, but today? -0-. Also, my most recently played game was FIFA 2012 - which is really cool because I don't own it nor have I ever played it.

Anyway, long story short 'they' (whoever they are) only vacuumed my points away (though it apparently only happened today) and they didn't get greedy by, for example, making further purchases with my account beyond what it already had in it.

I did indeed talk to our friends at MS ... while I kinda got the impression everything will someday be made good, until they are finished investigating, my account is entirely inaccessible (which also means I can't play any of my XBLA games on my xbox - terrific) .... broad on the phone said 3-6 weeks as an estimate ... fuck, 6 weeks and we're in February for chrissakes ... with my fuckin' luck I'll be lucky to have my account back before pitchers and catchers report.

So anyway, may as well try to make this a public service announcement .... keep an eye on your accounts, change your password, etc.
