If you are for gay marriage, good for you. If someone is not, it doesn't make them ignorant or stupid. Every law is based on how much society is offended by something. Most people find drug use offensive, that is why it is against the law. Same thing for pedophilia, murder, rape, ect. For many years, most people found homosexuality offensive, so gay marriage was against the law. However, over the last 25 years, society has become more okay with the lifestyle so the gay mariage law has been change in many states. However, it does not mean people cannot still be offended by it. As time goes by and society changes, I am sure there will be plenty of things in the world that become legal that will offend you.
