I was just wondering on the X-Box 360 games, if the sytem can't read it due to it cracking and I checked it today, it's does have some bad cracking, is there anything you can do or do you have to buy a new game.

I will check with the store I bought it, but being past 90 days, could be in trouble and it's the new College Football game, bought in Late July or Early August and today got the can't read disc and checked the back, and 2 bad cracks.

Is there anything that can be done, I would hate to have to buy a new game.

Buy a new game and then during the mad rush of returns during the holiday season return the busted up game to Wal Mart or Best Buy for store credit.

It is probably scratches, just looks like a crack, I did some checking on Phil suggestion, and that would work.

Did you try installing it to the hard drive?

A crack? What the hell are you doing with them?

But if it's just a scratch, those scratch remover devices do work pretty good...had a game that was horribly gouged up...ran it through the device and it played pretty well for a time...

Rent the game you cracked from Redbox, Gamefly, etc.

Return the cracked disc, keep the new one. It's worked twice for me with Gamefly with a cracked disc and really scratched disc.

You can even get a trial subscription from Gamefly and then cancel within a month if you want to do it completely for free.

Thanks for all the info.

Just to update, I talk to the store I bought it from, and they let me just exchange the game, so I got a new one.
