This sounds awesome.

It looks like every Big Ten team will be matched up with a Pac 12 team and the games will be played all around the country in pro stadiums. Hello Soldier Field, Detroit, Indy, Washington DC, and a bunch of west coast cities.

This also likely ends the conference expansion madness as the Big 10 and Pac 12 seem to have come to the conclusion that it is better to build up the brands by alliance rather than expansion. There just aren't any great options for the Big 12 outside of adding Notre Dame and Rutgers at the same time. I think the Pac 12 kind of reached on expansion but they should work out alright.

The next step will be the BCS becoming a one or two game playoff and then the Big 10 and and Pac 12 securing a few marquee bowl matchups while the Big 12 and Big East are dropped out of them.

I like it. Went to the Rose Bowl when Illinois was there and had a blast. Would love an opportunity to go out there again to see a game in the next 25 years without having to be in the Rose Bowl.

What is cool about this is it sounds like they wouldn't just limit it to those states. Madison Square Garden, New Orleans, Cowboys Stadium, and other places would be up for grabs too. It's almost like they'd be creating their own preconference bowl system.

The likes of Purdue and Illinois won't be the ones playing neutral site games. They will get home and homes with Washington State and Utah and so on.
