24 hours to kickoff the Texas Bowl. Will be watching the game with many NU grads in Northern Michigan. Can't wait.

Last year on these bowls, the Big 10 went 0-5, let's see how it goes today, I will say 2-3.

Michigan State gets a miracle comeback and dumb coaching by Georgia to bring the Slow Ten to 1-4 today. Hey it's improvement over last year!

Coaches in the Big Ten could learn from Spurrier -- find me the fastest guys and I'll teach them football. After his time in the SEC, maybe Urban Meyer understands that. It will be interesting to see how much OSU upgrades its speed by recruiting fast athletes rather than just football players.

I will say on the Big 10 from yesterday, the word I would pick is a Fair day. Not as bad as last year, but not good either.

2 games were bad, 2 could have gone either way, they did got one, and Ohio State had poor special teams play and could have won.

I want to see how Michigan does tonight, and they should be your Big 10 favorite going into next season, unless Robinson leaves, but sounds like he's staying.

I will say looking ahead, if the New Year's Day is the big day for the Big 10, next year's could be another ugly day, and that's with a 1-9 record the last 2 years.

Big Ten did about as expected. This was a tough year for them and a big transition. Nebraska struggled to adjust. Ohio State had to rebuild after losing Pryor and Tressel. Penn State has well known issues.

The only teams really worth it were MSU and Wisconsin and both performed admirably. I still think Michigan is one year away but they have to figure out the QB position.

Pretty ugly game last night but was good to see Michigan pull it out. They are a very young
team and seem to be back on the rise. That is good news in my football world. That touchdown
call at the end of the game for VT could have gone either way in my opinion but they stayed
consistient with how they called that type of play all night. Michigan has a nice signing class
coming in but I agree that the QB position is going to be their achilles heel for a while.

I have football fan fatigue. I can't even bring myself to complain about how bad my team is.

Didn't they originally call the VT catch a TD? Not sure what they saw that was indisputable enough to overturn the call. I thought it should have stayed a TD.

Michigan sorely needs a QB that can pass the ball. Watching Denard Robinson constantly run into a wall of people for no gain/loss of yards was frustrating to watch. He is an amazing athlete but needs to be moved to WR or RB.

If your not a fan of Denard Robinson as a Quarterback, I would ask this going into next season, is he the best in the Big 10.

That is one of the reasons, I put next year in Bowl play could be ugly, also Ohio State won't be there (bowl ban), I would guess Penn State will be taking steps back, and on Penn State, since the issues came out, 1 win.

If Nebraska ever wants to do anything, they need to get a real quarterback, if they can't run, Martinez can't move the offense.

On Iowa under Ferentz, they are usually the team that does well in the Bowls, even against the SEC.

If your a team that doesn't make a New Year's Day Bowl much, next year could be your year.

I was watching Big 10 network, Gerry Dinardo said the Big 10 was still behind the SEC, but his spin was that the top 3 teams went 2-1, with both Michigan's schools winning and the Wisconsin loss.

My senior year at NU, we won zero games. NU isn't dominating the Big 10 like it did in the mid to late 90's, but I'll take going to four straight bowl games and beating teams like Nebraska.

I am in a funk with Iowa football. The arrow is decidely pointing to the middle for next season.

Iowa basketball is where it is at. They are fast improving. McCaffrey makes me care again.
