The words "twelve man" have never been more important than this season. Someone needs to tell Thibs so he doesn't idiotically have Luol in in the 4th quarter of a 40 point blowout and he needs to stop playing the rotation likes it's a regular 82 game season with normal off days. We need everybody healthy to have a shot at Miami.

Agreed

No reason to have Rose in that late either.

Or 20 point leads with 6 minutes left.

...4 minutes left - to be safe.

I wouldnt. A Thibs coached team should be able to protect a 20 point lead in a half a quarter. Even if they win by 5 that's fine, but you gotta find a way to cut everyone's minutes down by 2-3 a game and sneak a few minutes in for your 11th and 12th guys. Saves legs and of course injury problems. There's really no need to worry about your record with this strategy because Lebron and Wade are going to have to log 38 a game to keep the Heat even with the Bulls and at that point you hope they don't get as lucky health wise as last year.

And when you go up by 40 your top 7 guys should never go back in. This isn't VDN's team that will blow a 35 point lead to a scrub Kings team anymore.

I agree.

I think part of the problem is that your coach and your star player are basically the same guy. Derrick will run himself repeatedly into a brick wall if he has to. And Thibs hasn't exactly learned how to dial things down either. So if your star is willing to grind himself into dust, and the workhorse coach is willing to let him, who steps in? Pax? Gar?

This can't continue into March and April. I pray that Derrick doesn't go down. If nothing else, the Bears have provided an example as to what happens when a true "franchise player" goes down. I'd be devastated if something happened to Derrick this year.

Spoelstra may have learned something last season. If this was a playoff game Wade and Lebron would probably suit up, but Miami is being careful this season.

Rose has turned it down a notch. He's not the energizer bunny anymore. He like other superstars has learned to pick their moments; end of games, to stop a run, mismatches, etc. Although he does scare me when he's doing about 100 mph down the court headed to the hoop with a large angry and tall black man chasing him.

What if it was a tall, large, angry white man? Or a tall, large, happy black man? Less concern?

NEW ORLEANS -- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose expects to face the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night, two days after he had to leave a game with back spasms.

"[My] back is feeling better," Rose said. "I should be ready to go tonight; game-time decision. I'm going to see how it is when I go out there and I should be all right."

Rose, who also has been battling turf toe, left Monday night's win over the New Jersey Nets after playing just 11 minutes.

Thibs is stupid if he plays Rose tonight. NO might be the worst team in the league, it should be an easy win regardless and if he's a game-time decision it means he would definitely benefit from another night off. Especially in a season like this.

IMU, people (Sini) used to give you a lot of grief for the Deng love but the guy is finally a top-ten player in the league now. His importance to this team is undeniable.

Whoa that thing. He is not better than...

Dwight
LeBron
Wade
Rose
Paul
Love
Durant
Westbrook
Blake
Aldridge

Just off the top of my head quickly.

I've been a big fan of the guy since Duke, and I flipped my shit when we got him from Phoenix on draft night.

Maybe not top 10 though.

Donald Sterling gets a lot of well deserved hate but Suns fans should hate Sarver for selling Deng and Rondo for a few bucks and not even reinvesting that money into the team.

I could make the argument that Deng is playing well enough to be considered a current top-10 player.

I can also open a wine bottle using only the side of a tree.

I'll give it my best shot.

In 20 games Deng is averaging 16.4 points (slightly higher than his 16.1 career total), 7.3 rebounds (6), 2.4 assists (2.3), 1.7 steals (1.8) in approximately 38.2 minutes per game. He is also shooting over 37% from the three-point line.

Um.... well.... er.... dammit...

On second thought, wouldn't you just rather see my neat tree and win bottle trick?

Damnit Thibs. Your best healthy player is a 7 foot dude with a history of foot problems. Probably shouldn't play him nearly 40 minutes a game, 25% more than his career average. Nazr is capable of taking 15 minutes and leaving Noah around the 33 mark. Keep this shit up in a meaningless season and you're slowly going to ruin the 2nd best player and integral part of your core going forward.

I really don't understand what Thibs is doing either. Nazr, Marco, and Butler should all be getting more minutes. Even Taj's minutes seem to be down recently.

Marco has shown very little, but Nazr needs to see the court (agree strongly with FF) and Butler def. needs top play more spotting both Deng and Hamilton.

The best part of what I like about the Bucks right now is their depth, it is nice to have and Douchebag you are making solid points. No way they make it the whole season, not a fan at all of what Thibs is doing.

It's strange because last week, Hamilton was pretty much benched in the 4th in favor of Butler. In that Rockets game, Rip barely played in the second half. And that was a game where they probably could've used his offense.

I don't really know what he's doing.

Yeah, I've probably been Thibs biggest supporter on here since 2007, but I'm starting to get concerned. His rotation has clearly been his biggest coaching weakness since his first season, and it seems like he's almost getting worse, not better. I dont really ever listen to his post game pressers, but is anybody asking him about this shit? How does he not understand the problem? Maybe he saw Doc getting criticized occasionally over the years for not settling on a solid 9 man rotation and is going to the extreme the other way. I'm just waiting for him to put four guys out there in crunch time and yelling "My team is on the floor!" to the ref. It's gonna happen at some point.

K... so he acknowledged there's no reason to be doing what he's doing, but he's doing it anyway. That looks really bad. I'm not even sure if that makes it better or worse.
