Just because they let one piece of shit in, let them all in, how flawed is that logic?

I'm not up on my Mazeroski history, but why is he a "Piece of shit" Walt?

17 years .260 BA 138 Hrs 2,000 some low teens hits, and beat the Yanks with a WS walkoff homer. The ass had Jim Fergosi like #'s...thats why

If any of the 1990 WS champ Reds go to the HoF, it would have to be Larkin (in contrast to the 60's/70's-era Cubs, who now have 4 in the HoF--not counting Durocher--without even coming close to making the playoffs).

I was surprised to see the obscene number of errors Robin Yount made at short (44 in one year alone). I don't remember him as that much of a butcher.

There are World Series teams without Hall of Famers. The 2005 White Sox come to mind. Thomas was on that team, but he didn't play much. The fact that the Reds won in '90 didn't create an imperative for one of their players to make the Hall.

Mazeroski was the best defensive player at an important defensive position. A .260 average in the time he played was more than respectable for a middle infielder. And, of course, that homer didn't hurt.

Baseball is about big moments. If Harold Baines had hit Gibson's homer, he might be in. He'd for sure have gotten more votes.

But he wasn't a below average hitter for the position he played. Who do you think was better? Julian Javier? Ken Hubbs?

Tom Verducci, Sports Illustrated's Senior MLB Writer & an MLB Network Insider, was a guest yesterday on "The Dan Patrick Show". He believes that Barry Larkin will get inducted into Cooperstown when the vote is announced Monday. He might be the only member of the 2012 class going in for induction.
