I had to laugh at the article using "rights" instead of "writes".

If a person isn't qualified to handle the totality of the offense than he has no business being a coordinator.

Who is going to come in here with the duty to only handle the passing game of a run oriented offense?

I am also amazed that a guy who has been a head coach would accept a position as an OC without the ability to run the passing side of the offense

49ers, Cowboys, Cardinals and Saints use the same method FWIW. Tice is the OC and will make all the calls, the new Asst will simply own passing during the week game planning.
