Early games I would say Altered Beast. Used to LOVE Gameday before I started playing Madden.

Edit: Gameday was Playstation so nevermind...

Madden 94. Detriot Lions vs. All Time Bears.

Barry Sanders vs. Walter Payton going for 60 points each.

Other than MK, NHL's, Road Rash's that have been mentioned:

Shining Force II
Mutant League Football/Hockey
Comix Zone
Golden Axe
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

I always thought Sonic sucked. Not sure why

I could be wrong, but I didn't think trading was allowed until NBA Live 95.

Almost forgot Shinobi (sp?). Great game.

That's funny. When I saw the thread title, this was immediately the game I thought of. Simple idea, motorcycles and violence... Awesome!

Maximum Carnage
Separation Anxiety
Spider-Man
Street Fighter II

We'd have to create another thread for that. Or have Mini Ditka change the thread title. Because a lot of these games played differently only the two systems.....ever tried playing SFII on Genesis with only a 3 button controller? :x

I'm a huge nerd. I bought Sid Meier's Pirates for the PC just to play an updated version.

I played the shit out of the game for the PC when I was a kid and recently got one of the torrents just to give it a spin again. Still awesome

I totally missed out on the video game consoles as a kid.
We didn't have Atari 2600, but eventually got 5200 with the fucked up controller that always broke.
I never had NES, SNES, ColecoVision, etc...or the classic Commodore 64. I eventually snagged a C64 for a few months from my cousin before I gave it back.
My Dad had this old Fairchild system that had a few "atari"ish games. very basic.
So, all the games I played were at my friends growing up.
We did have an early generation IBM computer and eventually bought and Apple when I was late in H.S. so I played a lot of TSR D&D type games.
I completely missed out on Doom and Castle Wolfenstein.
College was Sega and SNES. Sonic, Mario Kart, Golden Eye, etc...eventually moving on to the PS1. None of which I owned.
My future ex-wife bought me a PS2 in mid 2000 for my 25th Birthday. Played a lot of Madden and SOCOM online. Lots...
Then there was a lot of online poker and Battlefield on the computer.
I eventually bought the X-Box in late 2006. Really only play the COD and MW games and even then I take 6 month to year long breaks.

I had a guitar though... 8)

Which football game had the QB challenge? I used to love that. Was it one of the Montana ones?
