It's not impossible. If you think that two teams from the same conference shouldn't be there it's over.

It would be like the Bears and Packers meeting in the Super Bowl. Even if they are the two best teams you have conferences for a reason.

Apples and Oranges. You just made the argument for a playoff system. Throw Bama and LSU in the same bracket. If you prefer the BCS system then the two correct teams were chosen. Alabama's resume is much better than OSU's.

According to sagarin rankings....

Strength of schedule: ok st. 5, Alabama 26
Against top 10: ok st. 1-0, Alabama 1-1
Against top 30: ok st. 6-0, Alabama 2-1

"strength of loss" definitely favors Alabama, but in the end, it's a loss.

No its really easy.

Alabama finished third in its conference and didn't win its division.

Oklahoma State won its conference.

A bunch of teams won their conferences. Why not pick one of them? There's nothing in the BCS system saying you have to win your conference, hence my statement that BCS apologists have no right to complain. According to the current BCS system the two best teams in the country are playing right now.

Well that's obvious because the BCS picked these two teams.

That doesn't mean its right.

I agree. The BCS is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. A playoff system should be the way to go.

I really wish Musberger would stop saying "honey badger."

Agreed. On a related note, why does everyone seem to concur that "Honey Badger" is a great nickname?? It's sort of original but it's far from good.

Musberger cracked me up on that call. Got all excited and yelled "CAN HE GET THE 50?" Then he laughed at himself.

I think the better question is how many UFL players are on the LSU offense?

Jordan Jefferson is the worst QB I have ever seen on a team in the NCAA championship game. Not sure why Les didn't replace him.

i'm glad people are finally paying attention to how bad jefferson is as a QB. all you had to do was watch one LSU game that wasn't against a division 2 team.

No matter what, going in SEC now has 6 straight National Championships, pretty impressive.

Going into next year, there is about 3 or 4 teams that can challenge them if all in Oregon, USC, Oklahoma, and FLorida State. Watching ESPN this morning about next year, some Clemson love.

Les usually does good things coaching, after Jefferson's int and still down 15-0, should have put in Lee for a chance at a spark.

I know going in there was talk of a split if LSU lost, I would say no.

How many are on their special teams?

That's why they couldnt get past the 50. The special teams is probably filled with guys who will be starting on defense the next couple years.
