Take out Aldridge, Billips, Gordon, Iguodala, Odom, and Westbrook. And then pick between Love and Deron Williams. There's your 12.

I could agree with you two on that.

I'd keep Aldridge over Bosh and Love over Blake.

Yeah I was thinking of Bosh being replaced with Love, myself.

Dream Team

In their prime players
Jordan
Pippen
Barkley
Malone
Stockton
Robinson
Ewing
Drexler (I am being generous putting him here instead of below)

Past their prime
Bird
Magic
Mullin

Never had a Prime
Lattener

New team

Prime
LeBron
Wade
Durant
Rose (still has room to grow but if you are winning MVP's you are in your prime)
Carmelo
Howard

Reaching their prime
Love
Griffin

Past their Prime
Kobe

Never had a Prime
Chandler

The Dream Team has a huge advantage at the SG and PF positions the new team is better at PG and thats about it. SF and C can be a wash depending on if Dwight Howard can step up to the increased pressure of this series. I will still take the Dream Team because of the Jordan factor and the faith I have that Pippen would absolutely shut down LeBron but I think its fairly close.

And who's going to give Howard a breather? Love is a rebounder, but not really a defensive presence.

@RFDC: Yup. I think at this stage in his career Chauncey Billips is still a better PG than Eric Gordon. I'm not saying Gordon isn't good and can't be very good one day, but I'd sooner have Billips running my team.

@Spmack: I think you could move Bosh to the 5 spot to relieve howard.

With the other PGs on the team I do not think you need Billups. Gordon would be more help for them at SG.

I think Chauncey is easily the worst player on the list. The team has enough PGs and needs a guy like Gordon on the team.

If I'm coaching, here are my lineups:

Starting 5:
C - Howard
PF - Durant
SF - James
SG - Bryant
PG - Rose

2nd Unit:
C - Bosh
PF - Griffin
SF - Anthony
SG - Wade
PG - Paul

Reserves:
PG - Chauncey Billups
PF/C - Kevin Love
PG/SG - Russell Westbrook

No, that would be Iguodala IMO.

I'd go with the same starting 5 but then the bench guys would be

Blake Griffin
Kevin Love
Melo
Wade
Paul

Bench
Aldridge
Gordon
Westbrook

So Bosh doesn't make your team, huh. Interesting.

I think Love, Griffin, and Aldridge are better players.
