i was pretty meh on this game coming into it, but this second half has been a nice tight playoff game with twists and turns.

however, dierdorf is truly a fucking dumbass... i can see why mac gets on him.

tyler yates completes ONE pass for like ~15 over hte middle and dierdorf is like "ISN'T SOMEONE SUPPOSED TO TELL HIM THAT HE'S A ROOKIE AND HE SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS?!!?" -- jesus christ man, shut the fuck up... the guy's a quarterback in the NFL, HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT!

but yeah let's see if houston can score any more points. that last missed FG was big.

well evidently someone took up dierdorf's concerns and got on the ear-radio to tj yates and said "uh excuse me, mr. dierdorf has pointed out that you're a rookie and you're not supposed to complete passes. throw an interception or something and we'll be all set, thanks!"

THE BALANCE OF THE UNIVERSE IS THUSLY RESTORED!!!!

Now hopefully Bears fans after watching this game will stop saying they wish the Bears had a quality backup like TJ Yates to lead them to the playoffs. Houstons running game and young explosive defense led them there. Yates was just along for the ride.

Foster is a bad teammate. Walking by himself.

Sorry HH.

If the Bears had Yates, they probably make the playoffs.

wait what? i turned away when it was a baltimore time-kill possession and the texans have the ball at midfield with ~30 seconds left? how'd that happen?

still unlikely... i'd throw a prayer to andre johnson and make sure he jumps.

No chance with the group of receivers the Bears have and Matt Forte being injured. Plus the Texans D is so much better than the Bears D.

on 4th-n-2 dumbass yates could have walked for that first down, spiked it, then had a clean hail mary shot.... but it was those easy/ish throws he had on second and third downs that killed the texans... c'est la vie.

I agree. Yates is a rookie but you can see he has talent. Hanie is just garbage all around. The Bears would've put up more points with Yates.

bears 4 sure make the playoffs with yates....the run game was fine when forte got hurt, and yates lost on the road to baltimore in the playoffs..big difference from k.c. denver and oakland. yates is better than leinart and probably takes his job as #2.

btw, who is htis dude on WTMJ with wayne larrivee? he's blurting things out like TOO MUCH TIME over larrivee's call in the middle of hte play, and he seems like he's just waiting for everything to go wrong. he doesn't have the homer-type-optimism that a tom thayer has, eh?

I don't think the Giants want to get in a track meet with the Packers :D

I really can't figure out what the replays showed that left any doubt it wasn't a fumble?

I know everyone considers me the Frank C-level meatball version of a Packers fan but even I'll admit that GB got a gift right there. Jennings fumbled that ball.

Just because Walter's ghost blocked that FG by GB the game after he died to help the Bears pull out a lucky win doesn't mean he stuck around.

Both my teams are playing next weekend, couldn't be happier. Lewis and Reed showed Harrison and Troy how true playmakers show up in big games. They both made plays when they were needed. #Standard
