I don't want to risk spending money on this while not trusting my pc to be able to handle some of the bigger maps... maybe post holiday, or if/when I upgrade my laptop...

I ran that caspien map on all different sorts of settings and nothing helped... I'll try updating my Nvidia driver, and hopefully that will help. But that was the first game my pc couldn't handle, it was a sad day, kind of like getting kicked in the nuts

Well when you present opinion as fact, someone has to call you out on it.

You said PC is superior in every possible way...not true.

An Xbox is cheaper than a PC needed to play the game.
Everyone is on the same hardware, so the people who can shell out the coin needed to play the game on these uber settings don't have that advantage over those playing it on mediocre hardware.

So say I'm wrong about it being cheaper, but then you say in the first line that it's cheaper....

You can get a 4GB Xbox for 199 bucks.

My system has been able to handle the campaign mode without a glitch up to this point whilst running high graphics, I hope that transfers over to the multiplayer...

That shit done broke my computer It didn't crash or freeze, it was able to handle everything with ease; but something physically broke and my laptop is a lot louder as a result... probably my fan.

but it's still a fun game, I just need to step away from the K:D mindset...

IMU, do you think all these hacks (e.g., aim assists, tricks to get below the map, and other mods) make the PC version of BF3 inherently more unfair than the console version?

the only good thing about console version compared to PC is the fairness aspect. I played on the PC version finally. I can see why you like it, but it was pretty clear that hacking is much more prevalent on that platform than you suggest. I'll take worse graphics and lower player count, but fairer any day of the week. Just my preference.

You have to believe me (well, I guess you don't), but there was a lot of hacking. Specifically the one where you go below the map. Not good. You just don't have that on consoles.

All I know is I've played both now and its pretty clear to me that consoles are MUCH more balanced. My buddy has shown me many of the PC glitches and they are real. I'm not seeing any of the 360 glitches you "googled" in my games. Let me know when you play 360 version... then perhaps your opinion maybe worth something to me. You can try to argue your point all you want, but I guess I've actually witnessed both and I believe that is worth more to me than an anonymous poster on a sports messageboard.

I've only seen one guy with the aim bot, but that was in the beta testing. But that doesn't stop people from accusing each other 50 million fucking times per match

I don't know what glitching is so I can't comment on that...

Im telling you what I saw. I actually go by experience rather than what I read on the interwebz.

If shit like that has happened, I've been completely oblivious to it. But I've never seen anyone complain about that sort of thing though. Not that it doesn't exist.

A) If that sample size is reliable (which the interwebz is not) then you might have something there. And since you have zero personal sample size, kinda hard for you to opine on the veracity of the statement.

B) My experience wasn't bad... in fact, it was good. I just prefer fair to pretty. And its just my opinion. It's indicative of my experience which is all I'm doing here.
