The State of Illinois should not be in the Stadium business.
The State should sell The Cell to Reinsdorf. NOW this guy would have a vested interest in the SUCCESS of the White Sox instead of lording over a group of incompetents.
If Reinsdorf won't buy it, Good Riddance. Go to Vegas.
The Tampa Rays will be a nice alternative to the Reinsdorf freak show at The Cell.
If the State must own a Stadium, at least get a genuine lease agreement from the Rays.

and for about the 20th time, the rumor is what is happening and it is based on some reality, but the purpose of the rumor is to sign a new deal with the state. I don't think they will move there.

They have the sweetheart deal of sweetheart deals. The state buys up unsold tickets. How could it get much better? How much more can Reinsdorf extract from Illinois?

that's likely the point of keeping this rumor kicking around, make sure Illinois stays in line.

IF Reinsdorf was gutsy,he would move the Sox to Wrigley...Screw Tradition.
Pay the Cubs some rent and draw what the Cubs draw. The Sox should at least
play a weekday series there against the Royals (or some other weak draw). I bet
they would fill the place up!
