And I've got an iPod with a 20,000+ song music collection, over 1,200 artists.

I'm not without a music source. It is just depressing that every other city, even far smaller ones, have a wider selection of music stations than Chicago does.

Why does it matter anymore?

Thats like saying Chicago doesnt have enough VCR repairmen

Are you sure you should be googling yourself at work? Or are you #fastracking it at home today?

Sonic Youth is a band I never really got. A bunch of art school dopes making a bunch of noise. If you're going to use alternate tunings, I'd suggest doing it like Jimmy Page rather than Thurston Moore. I generally don't like wifecore but Superchunk is cool.

there's plenty of theirs that i don't get...but you can't really deny the holy trinity of Daydream Nation, Goo and Dirty. Evol and Sister are pretty damn good too. they lost steam in the last 5-10 years and probably stayed around longer than they should have

"Teenage Riot" is a good song. But when I listen to Sonic Youth I always get the feeling they're trying to be clever for the sake of cleverness and in service to nothing. Playing "intelligent" rock is tricky business. By its very nature rock and roll is big and dumb.
