So we're going out tomorrow night with friends to an "authentic Egyptian restaurant". I couldn't even name any food that's Egyptian so I have no idea what the menu will be. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure, but the chance for explosive diarrhea is roughly 95%

Call in to B&B. I'm sure Bernsie can give you some recommendations based on his son's reviews of this delightful cuisine.

That was my initial impression as well. Hopefully the bar menu is at least familiar.

The timing of this pic being posted is just terrible (for my comedic side).

You are going to need to channel your inner vegan. I would hope this was on the menu and order 5 courses of it if I were you.Image

Ive been to one of these but we ended up not being able to eat as we couldn't answer the riddle before we were seated.

In all seriousness, here's a link to a review from ABC7 http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?sectio ... id=4207679

Not my type of food, but certainly looks interesting to try once.

Thanks Vince. That was my impression also after reading that article. At least it'll be something different.

I ate KFC when I was in Egypt.

My friends and I chartered a falucca down Nile for a few days. The captain cooked meals each day. One day he made liver. Everyone felt like they needed to eat it not to offend him. I dumped my portion over the side of the boat when no one was looking and laughed as the rest ate up that crap.
