You take two slices of bread, butter them up and put cheese in between. Then throw it in a pan. It tastes great, what is your favorite?

Most people use American, but I think cheddar tastes better.

I had an old college buddy who was really into bacon and peanut butter sandwiches. He said he cut a couple days off his lifetime expectancy with each bite.

Bacon and tomato. Like aspargus and swiss with a proscuitto or ham too.

I don't want to know what you and your college buddy smeared on each others balls

If you add other stuff to it, it's not really a grilled cheese sandwich...

If you add anything else to a grilled cheese sandwich, say some ham, maybe bacon, tomatoes etc., it ceases to be a real grilled cheese sandwich and becomes whatever you just added to it-sandwich. Cheese doesn't overshadow bacon, not any day of the week. Don't get me wrong, I know it's delicious. But that's a bacon and cheese sandwich and everyone knows it...

It's still grilled, you aren't eating the damn thing cold.

The best is a grilled cheese on rye bread with swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, saurkraut and corned beef. Delicious!

Wrong. And Wikipedia backs it up. Anybody know what jalopnik or Boiler Rick says? They are usually right.

Dennys and best should never ever be used in the same sentence.

There is an exception:

Dennys is best when you're stoned out of your mind at 3 in the morning in the Northwest Suburbs (it sucks out here, yo)

I'm going to go get a grilled cheese sandwich in a minute. I think I'll add Salami, pepperoni, bacon, tomatoes, pickles, onions, lettuce and maybe some mustard. That sounds like a fantastic, all american grilled cheese sammich to me...

Personally I like my grilled cheese on rye bread with a all beef patty underneath it and some grilled onions and mustard.

I can give you some advice on how to make a grill cheese sandwich without electricity, though the cheese won't be melted and it will taste like a butter and cheese sandwich.

I had a really long, sarcastic post about a grilled cheese sandwich that's really a gyro but I accidently deleted it. I won't re-type it but just trust me, it was hilarious...

That's not how you do it. You slowly melt the butter in the pan and then grill the sandwich.

I make the best grilled cheese sandwich in the history of the world. It's been verified by all who have sampled it.
