Other than Coke, Pepsi and 7UP products what are your favorite sodas?

Still my all-time favorite pop. Also enjoy Pibb_0 and Dr. Pepper_10 calorie.

Tahitian Treat is/was fantastic.

I never had a Green River until my mid-20's. Never heard of it before then.

Jones Soda: Strawberry Lime, Cherry and Pineapple Upside Down (now retired)
Manzanita Sol: It's an apple flavored pop from Mexico that is bottled by Pepsi.
Sidral Mundet: Another apple flavored pop from Mexico available locally.
Kosher Coke: Coca-Cola made with real sugar in 2L bottles during Passover in Jewish areas.

I had a friend that used to really like Surge and another that used to buy Shasta.

Someone mentioned generic sodas. There is an occasional one that is decent. I remember Aldi used to carry a pretty tasty Grape Soda, which was 15 cents a can back in the day. It's funny how a lot of the generic brands have knockoff names like Dr. Thunder, Mountain Lightening and Dr. Bold.

The former Tastee-Freeze on Pulaski used to have Green River Floats when I was a yout.

My faves:

1. Canfield's Swiss Creme
2. Sunkist Sparkling Lemonade
3. Royal Crown Cola
4. President's Choice Black Cherry
5. Green River
6. Ruby Red Squirt
7. Mr. Pibb
8. 50/50 and Squirt
9. Mellow Yellow

I also agree w/ Spaulding that the old Jewels Sodas were good, too.

Faygo Rock n Rye or Tahitian Treat. I couldn't find TT anywhere when I was living in Illinois, then we moved to Ohio and it was everywhere...and I promptly got sick of it.

They used to have Tahitian Treat at a Dollar Store on Jackson St. between State and Dearborn, but now that's gone.

Another great Fruit Punch pop was the Minute Maid one. Too bad they don't make that anymore.

edit: I found it here on the Piggly Wiggly site. http://grocery.thepig.net/pd/Minute-Maid/Fruit-Punch-Soda/67-60-fl-oz/049000018271/

Is there such a thing as a bad grape (or orange) soda?

Everytime I go to Menards, I pick up a 4 pack of Sprecher either root beer or cherry cola.

Yes, there is a difference. I have a relative who refuses to buy Coke products and so when I reach for an Orange Fanta at his house and there's a Orange Sunkist I know the difference immediately.

Try CHILL brand at Jewel. The diet orange was more refreshing than name brand pops
