I'm not sure someone should be made to apologize.

He did something bigfan didn't like. bigfan suspended him for a few weeks. Time served? I think so. I'm sure there wouldn't be any issues going forward. But to make someone say something they don't feel or believe (not saying this is the case) is something I don't agree with.

He would really only be apologizing by saying that he didn't mean it to be personal. If what he said was personal and he still feels the same way then I guess he should just accept that he's banned.

From what I understand, he told the moderator of the board to "fuck off". I have a hard time coming up with many situations where saying something like that would be overlooked just because a week or two has passed without any type of resolution.

I've been told to fuck off here before. Many of us have. The difference is we don't have the power to ban anyone. I wouldn't want to see anyone banned here for something like that. Can't tell bigfan how to feel about it, but those are just my personal feelings. bigfan has seemingly followed board members around just for the purpose of annoyance. I'm not sure that is what lead to the "fuck off" but it isn;t out of the realm of possibility. Most of us have learned to both dish it and take it. Bigfan doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that feels he deserves a higher level of respect than anyone else here. Can't say I'd never give someone a timeout to think things over but I'm just saying I hope that's all this is. No reason everyone can't just move on...

This just seems like a special case. For whatever reason, bigfan took it personal and really the only way this can end is Free Ajent is banned forever or they come to an understanding that Free Ajent either didn't intend it to be personal or he no longer wants to have a personal beef with bigfan. I'd like to see Ajent come back too but it is just hard to imagine a scenario where he ever returns while seemingly having a strong dislike for the moderator and owner of the board. If he doesn't have that strong dislike of him then clearing the air with him would move this thing forward.
