There was 100+ gallons of jet fuel on fire, pouring out of a damaged truck - and Waltrip wanted somebody to get back into the truck and get it off the track so the surface wouldn't be damaged by the heat. He seriously said that.

We were this/close to seeing somebody being burned alive on national TV. Montoya's lucky his car bounced off of that and didn't get pinned against the truck or the wall.

Okay, I never watch racing, but how many times does this shit happen? They are lucky that someone didnt die. They don't try to fix the ice while play is going on in a hockey game or try to fix the grass when a play is being run in football. If you want to dry the track, keep the damn cars off there.

No, im saying during the play. Why have cars driving around when you have these drying vehicles out there? This looks horrible for Daytona and racing in general. Should have just postponed the race until tomorrow rather than putting people in danger.

It had nothing to do with the track being wet. They go out there all of the time during cautions to blow debris off of the track.

i dont see whats the problem. the millionaire was protected by state of the art protection equipment. he was in no danger. the safety guy driving the truck probably wasnt even wearing a seatbelt but he gets like 30 bucks an hour overall package so its totally worth the risk while not making him important enough to keep alive in any case.

the only real problem was danica wasnt hanging off the back of the jet dryer in a go daddy tshirt while this happened

The race was under caution. They were blowing the debris off of the track. There was no rain.

This goes on during every caution at every race at every track.

Yeah, they do yellow flags all the time where for multiple laps the cars are doing nothing. Take them off the track, do the cleaning, then put the cars back out there. Is it really that big a deal to do?
