Your recall is wrong. I've always said I don't know about addiction problems, not that you were wrong or right. My outrage, as you put it, was the way you have held his possible addiction problems in contempt. Your posts ridiculed it, you never felt sorry for him. Even if he has an addiction problem, I think his issues go far beyond all that, and some are out of his control. He does the best he can. That's pretty much all I've ever said.

Mac, beyond being a radio host, is an erstwhile board member. I don't wish bad things on our guys. It seems a few are anywhere from indifferent to happy that something might be wrong.

I was driving to the airport this morning when I heard the beginning of the show. Spiegel sounded pretty serious & concerned & said that Mac would be off for a while, with health & wellness issues.
Mac has missed a lot of days recently that seemed like they were unplanned. If he has a problem, I wish him well & a speedy recovery.

On the day he comes back, I'll listen long enough to hear what happened then shut it off. Mac's at his worse when he gets preachy - he'll act like God put him on Earth to tell 25-54 Men that they shouldn't be afraid to go to the doctor, seek help, etc. It all makes me want to vomit, moreso because he intersperses this pedantic crap with making fun of his own frailties - which he is really good at, and I'll have to miss.
