Rocky retired between the Spider and Apollo fight in I

He retired til Adrian let him fight again in II

He retired at a big ceremony in III that Clubber crashed

He was retired in 4 til Apollo died.

He was retired and stayed retired in V because it was a street fight. (But that movie never happened anyway)

In Rocky Balboa, he was a retired restaurant owner....who came out of retirment as a result of ESPN pressure.
