He got cut by the Panthers after being on set for the draft and praising the pick. That's hilarious.

Do you think the Bears take a chance on him or is he Moose #2?

Yeah it is. He was praising every move they made, talking about how it would improve "us." Oops. They're not looking to complement your skills, Keyshawn, they're looking to replace them.

It was weird having him there in the first place. Every time they started talking about the Panthers and their potential picks, they awkwardly would as Keyshawn what the Panthers would do.

In any other business, the boss would have forbidden you from being there talking about your future business plans. The NFL? Perfectly acceptable but uncomfortable to watch.

I would agree with that. I don't really think Moose is any better in the locker room.

Talent wise, probably. Too bad there's no way to make that happen so it makes sense money-wise.

I have to agree; at first, I assumed he had retired or something. As soon as he started up with all that "us" talk, I realized what was going on and scratched my head over their choice of hiring a player currently on a roster for the NFL draft. Um, people generally want impartial coverage, not a Panthers perspective.

With this development, however, it was all worth it.

I'd take him, but I don't think Angelo would. I think he believes in Bradley.

Don't you think the Bears don't have the offensive playbook to accomodate a Moose and a Keshawn type receiver. How many possession style receivers can a team have, just doesn't make sense for a running team like the Bears say they want to be.

There's not really any accomplished burners out there either. Moss was, but the Bears didn't want the baggage. Johnson has some as well, but I'd bring him on board.

Right now we have #1 Berrian, #2 Muahammed #3 Bradley #4 Davis, and an open #5 spot with Currie still looming.

I don't think signing Johnson to a 1-2 year deal with have any impact on our long-term cap issues (like signing Harris/Berrian, etc). Nor will it diminish the development of Bradley. If he plays well, he'll be on the field.

Again, I don't think there's any chance that the Bears sign him as he is similar to Muahammed, and, more importantly, the Bears believe in Bradley breaking out. In Angelo, I trust.

Jerry Angelo: "Will we sign Keshawn Johnson?" "Ahh, I don't think so."
