i think we might have a better idea how this years playoffs will go in about 9 days. rose is still getting better... its actually getting scary because his shooting is continuing to mature. still, none of these games matter because none of these teams can rotate and close out on shooters like miami can... so... well see....

You put the bong down for a few posts Ike? This is pretty accurate. Although like I have been saying since last year, I'd add that Rose has to be the best player in the series for them to beat Miami. That's how Dirk and Dallas did it last season and I think that's what it's gonna take this season.

That's why LeBron gets so much shit shoved his way. People know what having the best player on the court means in the NBA playoffs. It's not a sure win(Cleveland in '07 and '08, Lakers in the '04 Finals for example), but it's a pretty strong indicator of playoff success. Dirk was the best player alive for two months last spring. There were other factors but that is by far the biggest reason they won.

so you did watch. youre exactly right- the got to the bulls chests. if that was miami, they would have got there faster and their hands would be above all the bulls heads.

the only way we win against miami in the playoffs is just like what was said. the bulls have to play as a COMPLETE team AND rose HAS to be the best player on the court. i do not think thats as far as a stretch as danny b thinks though. i think this year will be massively different then last (we really had no chance, not with rose at 80%)
