There are plenty of PS1 emulators out on the web that work fairly well....my question is about those.

What is about is this:

-You can download PS1 games, .iso files and such.
-You can burn these onto a CD
-Is there anyway you can play these burned PS1 games on a PS2 without having to physically mod the system?

I pretty much just want to play Suikoden II w/out having to spend $100 dollars on eBay because it ran in limited print because it didn't sell up to expectations, even though it was awesome and , IMO, better than plenty of Final Fantasy games and better than a ton of praised RPG's out there as well.

Fuck you, give me an answer.

Can't you just play it on your PC or laptop with a Logitech PS controller?

Regarding your question though, I believe you had to actually chip a PS2 in order to play burned games.

Also, it is not better than any of the classic Final Fantasies.

But I have a big 55 inch screen! Plus I have old saves of Suikoden 1 that carry over to 2.

I did some research and it seems you can do it but you need to download some boot programs onto a USB, transfer it over to a memory card, block some sensors in the CD try etc.

Hook your computer to your TV.

Also, I implore you to imagine how badly a PS1 game will look on a 1080p 55" TV.

Actually, they look just fine. I'm playing Chrono Trigger (PS1 collection) on it right now, as long as you put it in the correct aspect ratio and color settings you are good to go.
