Don't see any team--or Peyton--being quick to make a move here. NFL teams are gonna want assurances of his ability ot play and Peyton's going to want the right organizational/team fit.

I hope he does not go to the Redskins.I would have to be forced to root for him after all these years of hate.

Bears should sign him. He's better than that Cutler. The McCaskey's are too cheap. Ditka would do it.

So you've basically given up on the Cutler era?

Either has Cam Newton. Panthers should go for Peyton?

I can't believe he's going to play again. What's he up to, 4, 5 neck surgeries? He's got a boatload of endorsement deals and has a ton of cash, and has a Superbowl win and MVP already. He'll be heavily sought after for announcing and/or analyst jobs.

Why would he want to put his life in jeopardy again? That's in addition to the fact that he may not be very good anymore after all of the surgeries....

I hope he retires.

He should go to Seattle. Similar small town fan base that would embrace him and make him king of the city. Good talent in place on both sides of the ball. And a relatively weak division.

I also hope he retires.

Have there been any updates on whether or not the guy can even throw the ball worth a damn right now? Last I heard was that he could toss it around but without any real velocity.

The video I saw where he was at Duke the other day looked damn good, he is not going to retire.

He was a mess during that presser. Tough listen. Though I would wager confidently that he does not end up in Washington.

I never thought Peyton would go out like Favre, doing damage to his legacy & reputation, but it sure looks like that is a possibility. I said at least 6 Months ago that he should hang up his cleats & become a coach for the Colts & mentor Luck for a few years. Eventually, he no doubt would become head coach of the Colts. Instead he'll go to the Jets & will never achieve the success & results that he did with the Colts. He'll get knocked around & banged up & miss some games with injury, & be forced to retire.

That is fucking stupid. Manning is nothing like Favre. Favre sucked in 05 and 06 for the peckers while possibley fucking them while waffling on retirement. 07 was very good but still too much 'I may not come back' especially with rodgers waiting with 3 years of learning and practice. Manning is still playing at consistent high level completing 66% of passes and a 2-1 TD to INT ration while getting near 5K yards and being THE REASON his team wins. He has non mentioned retiring, only problem is health and Luck hasn't even been drafted yet. Nothing like Favre.

Not yet. I hope he doesn't go out like Favre.
