Will the NFL uniforms go the Oregon route? We'll see.

Nike uniforms will be unveiled on April 3
Posted by Mike Florio on March 9, 2012, 1:35 PM EST

On April 3, Nike and the NFL officially will launch their partnership at an event in New York.

Nike’s intentions regarding the NFL uniforms remain unclear. An executive promised “dramatic” changes when the deal was struck in 2010. The NFL more recently has explained that the changes will primarily be reflected in the construction of the jersey.
Most recently, Nike CEO and president Mark Parker said that the company will “have some fun” while “respecting the traditions” of the teams.
We’ll all get something slightly more definitive on April 3.

If they do, someone should be shot.

Wasn't there already a thread confirming this wouldn't happen?

Bullshit. Especially if we're talking helmets.

So your ok with the Packers wearing some goofy radical Nike uniform creation?

I was not thinking helmets as much as keeping the NFL from crap like this....

I just woke up, so the brain's a little fuzzy, but didn't the Bears wear 4 different uniforms last year? White, Blue, Orange and I'm fuzzy on if they still do throwback? That's not too far from the Maryland photo.

Well if you want a jersey now, there giving deals on them, at a Store today that they were 50% off.

If anybody worried, he said they wouldn't be like Oregon.

1 hour and 3O minutes away from the release of the new Uni's.

I think the only differences you are going to notice will be tighter jerseys, different material, the sleeves will probably be tight against the shoulder pads as opposed to being flared open and they may kill some of the strips some teams wear on them. I wish they would let them wear 3/4 length socks like college and not the 5 layers of crap they have now. Tom Brady looks like a throwback hockey goalie with all the sock layers he has.

I'm going to bet some teams are going to be willing to give Nike a lot more creative freedom than others. Obviously the Bears, Packers, Giants etc are going to stay pretty close to their traditional looks seeing as their brands really couldn't get much stronger.

I wouldn't be shocked, maybe not this year but soon, to see the Jacksonvilles, Seattles start introducing some radical new alternates.

Seattle is rumored to have changed their look. Carolina may have as well. Cinci needs to unclutter their look too.

Arizona should be another team prime to re-brand themselves a bit

Darren Rovell tweets;
Quote:
Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue received $8.58 million in compensation from the NFL last season.

NFL commish Roger Goodell made $11,554,000 last year, according to the league's 990 just filed.

Great posture on those mannequins.

Hoping my Chinese site has the new Nike jerseys. I'll be hitting them up for an RGIII jersey shortly after the draft.

The new Bears Nike uni looks fine.

They all look the same. Very anti-climactic.

The biggest difference with the Bears new uni is the numbers will be on the shouder pads and not the sleeves.

Urlacher's skin tone is a little off.

The Pack must have refused any changes. They don't even have the tight sleeves.
