So VCU has a giant banner in their arena celebrating their #6 ranking from last year...

Oh, and Steve Alford can go get fisted by Edward Scissorhands...

So ISU drew UConn in the first round, with the prospects of facing Kentucky in the second... :(

...well, at least they are in it... :D

Revealed the four number ones and the entire South bracket...no surprises so far.

It wouldn't have shocked me to see them give an undeserving Duke one of the 1's. Glad that didn't happen.

Long Beach State just because humanity's favorite #12 seed in the tourney...

No way Duke was getting a 1...even I can see that...I think there were at least four or five other teams more deserving and the fact they finished their regular season with a beatdown from UNC and then to end the ACC tourney with a loss to FSU...yeah, wasn't gonna happen.

Iona? A 14 at large? When's the last time an at large was ranked so low?

A little surprised Mizzou is the 2 seed in the west. You could make a case for them being the 1 seed, but at the least I would think they are a 2 seed in the midwest.

I love the Vandy-Harvard 5-12 matchup.

I don't think Marquette makes the Sweet 16.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the selection commitee usually doesn't have a team play so close to home (St. Louis) in the regionals unless they are a number one.

Kansas is pretty close to St Louis, right?

They try to place top four seeds as close to home as possible for opening week.

Well, not at close, but yeah...

...maybe the committee ranks KU higher than Mizzou?

True...they also, more often than not, do the same for the twos...

Ok, when that guy says Iona isn't the last team in, how do you not follow up with "Who was?"

They are a 14...to say they are the last team in wouldn't be absurd...

I remember that game vividly...shooting pool with my brothers in the basement...thought it was over...I was bouncing off the walls when he hit that shot.

Missouri was the 8th? So they get in the same bracket as the 4th?

Seeding is hard work...

I am not a big Duke fan, but I was watching that game with some family friends who are HUGE Kentucky fans and they were talking so much crap before and during that game. Having him hit that shot was real nice for me. I still remind them of it.

It's moments like these when we find common ground that I question the decisions I've made in life... :D

To sum up Dickie V:

The teams that got in could have been left out...the teams that got left out could have been in...

Teams that have a good season over four months should be rewarded...but you can't complain if you have a bad loss in your conference tourney and you get left out...

So basically...nothing.

Northwestern fans can't complain. They had multiple opportunities the last few weeks to secure a good win or two. They didn't earn a berth.

I would loooove a Kentucky/Indiana Sweet 16 rematch, especially since there was a report out that Kentucky was all butthurt that the ESPN Mobile commercial prominently features that buzzer beating 3 from earlier this season.
