You guys are acting like the Rams are so inept they should just close up shop
They have arranged to have 9 picks in the first 2 rounds of the next three drafts. That's impressive.
They'll hit on some of em.
Even if Bradford doesnt work out, you can still get a bunch of good players and get a QB down the road.
Not to mention that it's hard to really be skillful or bad at drafting in the first round. It's more luck than anything that the guy you pick who everyone thinks could be really good ends up really good. Aaron Rodgers is probably one of the best first round draft picks of all time. Let's really analyze it though. It was luck. If the Packers really saw his ability coming you think they are sitting back and waiting and hoping he falls to the end of the first round? Of course not. They'd be moving up at least into the 10-15 range where he would have been available.
That's why first round draft picks are so valuable and why the Redskins were probably stupid. The Rams are going to have a bunch of pulls at it. Some will likely be busts or at least average. Others may be great. That is why RG3 must be great. Not good. Not very good. He must be great. He needs to be a top 5 QB. At least with the Cutler trade they knew he was a capable NFL QB. We had a floor on Cutler. RG3 could be the next Ryan Leaf or Tim Couch. I don't think he will be but even first round NFL QB's fail as much as they succeed.
