Significantly easier to block for 4 seconds (normal offense) than 7 seconds (Martz)

Sources said the Bears were working hard to sign Vincent Jackson in free agency but his price tag could have gone beyond what they wanted to spend.

Great news. He is actually a better fit for what the Bears want to do than Jackson and I imagine his contract is more reasonable.

The fact that Martz is gone will improve Jays chances of staying alive. Martz wouldn't let Jay roll out or improvise.
