The only competition at this point are the small, mom & pop operated donut shops and bakeries. The problem with Dunkin Donuts is that they're really not fresh made anymore. They're the same recipe as always, but the problem is that instead of the actual dough being shipped out to the stores for fresh baking, they are mass produced, flash frozen, and then reheated in the store. When you walk in one, it doesn't even smell like a donut shop should.

The GF likes this bakery in downtown Libertyville that she passes on her way to work. They have donuts with bacon on them, which is pretty damn good.
