I have this system check bullshit in my computer and it needs to die painful death. I've got it shut down through a process explorer thing I added but I need to now kill this bitch off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Malwarebytes and SUper AntiSpyware. If those won't get rid of it you will need ComboFix but I usually only use that as a last resort.

I used the malwarebytes and I think I have the initial problem removed but it still does that shit where if you google search something and then click on it you get redirected. Hopefully the other program kills that too.

Yea you still have something on there. I would boot into SafeMode and run the scans - this helps prevent the malware from loading up in memory before the utilities have a chance to catch them.

basically, what panther said about the "free" programs... typically, an eclectic combo of ad aware and spybot will handle just about anything you toss at it, barring a solid run by that one program that fronts like it's some windows security update (complete with a little shield icon and the works) that by the time it evolved into being truly badass the 2nd time i met it shit was like, hey, i'm going to tell windows that you shouldn't run ANY .exe file and ummm, yeah, have fun and give us $20 now.

that one required me to actually get perturbed and start to wage war with it, as this little shit company had no idea that i used to do shit like this for old people for STRAIGHT CASH HOMEY so if wayne brady's gonna have to choke a lil regedit out, well, wayne brady gets things done. duh. let's make a deal.

otherwise, having gloriously barebacked through the whole of bbsing/internet extensively in the 90s, the only virus i was ever able to get was the "tai pei" virus... a slick lil guy whose only quest in life was to exist, as that all it did was add 450 lines of code to DOS .exe files, as whoever wrote it only had the desire to see how he could get a virus to spread. utterly benign unless your .exe file had a built-in CRC check (incidentally, more people/things need to have a "cyclic redundancy check" in life, but i digress....) then it'd be like WTF NO and you'd be LOLWUT and next thing you know you're having college girls @ st johns on the phone telling you how awesome block letter 2-line internet memes are.

oh wait, bigfan likes it when i shutup and don't type too much.

IGNORE EVERYTHING ABOVE THIS.

what panther said.

I recently added CCleaner, and it does a good job. However, my Trend Micro hangs during full scan, but it expires soon anyway.

I am a huge fan/supporter/believer in Spybot S&D. It is great, run in the background and it catches a lot .I run it once a month after forcing an update just to make sure. It catches everything.
