That doesn't stop Frolik from dressing

It did for like ten games and should have tonight. Like I said, Hayes would've been nice to have in the lineup for all these power plays we ended up having. What does Bollig give us? The Canucks don't fight, they just cheapshot and run away. I mean, if you want to get at Bieksa, you might as well just hunt him down and punch him in the back of the head, since he's not going to give you a silly fight.

Preaching to the choir on Hayes, his size alone makes him worth dressing. Add to the fact that he's semi skilled as well makes it all the better.

This might be a game where you just take your loser point and be happy with that after your shitty nutless power play.

Leddy's puckhandling makes me long for the finesse of Brent Sopel :eye:

Thats why these guys in my opinion are the most skilled athletes. That fucking puck was going a foot wide and to be able to redirect those on net is just amazing.

Man, are they ever. This game was bad, even for them. Burrows kneed Keith in the groin! So add that to the list:

pulled Duncan Keith's hair
speared Marc Staal in the groin
bit Patrice Bergeron's finger
kneed Duncan Keith in the groin

aaaand so much more

Yeah, well, Canucks fans can gently gargle my sack. I guess the story is that Keith said "I'm gonna getchoo!!! >:(" before he went after Daniel Sedin. This according to...Henrik Sedin. That'll hold up well, yeah. Million-game suspension for known headhunter Duncan Keith.

Both Keith and that albino ginger bastard deserve to sit a couple games.

Alex Burrows truly is the biggest piece of shit in professional sports.

Rosenbloom with a nice article today. This pretty much sums it up...

...And then Keith turned stupid. Then he became a Canuck. Then he sunk to Vancouver’s gutless, cheap-shot levels. He should know better. All the Hawks should.

Friends don’t let friends act like Canucks.

Predators and Red Wings both won last night, and we're missing Keith and Toews now, so I guess we should kinda pump the brakes on the whole "Hawks can finish 4th!" thing. Tonight is probably where the train stops a-rollin', since Nashville was able to hold the never-say-die Jets to one measly goal late in the third last night. That doesn't bode well.

Tonight would be a great night for Corey Crawford to singlehandedly win the game for us, but if he were capable of that, he would've done it by now. As bad as Keith can be at times, a blue line of Oduya-Seabrook, Leddy-Hjalmarsson, O'Donnell-Olsen does not exactly fill me with confidence. Especially that third pairing: too young, too old, too slow, too dumb. Saying it like Stacey King doesn't even make me feel better.

Around the conference, the Stars are back in third place, Coyotes stay in seventh, Kings down to eighth, Sharks right behind in a close ninth, but it's all still highly volatile. The Flames seem to have excused themselves from the proceedings, and the Avs are running out of bullets with 86 points and five to play. Hawks are five points up on the Coyotes with a game in hand (they play the Blues tonight), but with Keith effectively out for the rest of the year and the NHL's tendency to give Phoenix help any way they can, the Hawks could drop to seventh and face the Canucks again. You never know. Hold your noses and root for the Blues tonight in the always compelling Battle of Teams Owned By The Rest Of The League Because They Went Bankrupt.

I am more optimistic, although not Troll-like optimistic .

I don't care for the O'Donnell/Olsen pairing, either, but as long as they don't dumb it up...

Crawford's really made some nice saves the last few games, and hasn't given up the easy goals in that stretch like he had done previously.

Frankly, I'm more worried about the upcoming Devils game.

Hawks 3, Cloggers 2 - no OT. :hockey:

Yeah, they've had a nice little thing going for a while with Parise and Kovalchuk, but their season record is wildly inflated by shootouts, and so it took a lot of lucky breaks in the early going to put them on a contention trajectory; a few bad bounces and more than almost any other team in the league, who's to say they don't sell big at the deadline. As far as Eastern teams go, they're a class below the Senators, who themselves are well below the Rangers, Flyers, and Penguins. I guess what I'm saying is that Brodeur is old and if you can get up the ice and put shots on net, he's hardly invincible like he was in the dead puck era.

I really like being in 5th place going into the playoffs. I just do not want to face Detroit in first round. Also as much as I hate/loathe Detroit and Nashville, Vancouver makes my blood boil. They need to change the logo on the sweater to a little crying baby.
That third def pairing is kinda scary but with us being at home hopefully coach Q can limit their exposure.

30-3-4 when they score first? Against this bunch? That's game.

1st power play of the night is Chicagos. Not that it makes a bit of difference.

It seems like every time the Hawks almost have an odd-man rush, the Predators catch up to them.

And now it's 2-0. There's not enough firepower to come back from that against Rinne/trap.
