Tommy Lee's solo album from a few years back is excellent.
As far as Motley Crew,I love "Kickstart My Heart",not much else.
As far as KISS,I (No Surprise) love the music. Their hits unplugged
on MTV sounded great. Paul Stanley is a great talent. Ace Freehly
knows his way around a guitar (when he's sober).

I don't recall Tommy Lee appearing on Diff'rent Strokes.

Hell I know my way around a guitar too, but that doesn't mean we're any good at it.

Did anybody else notice that Gene Simmons is confusing lip syncing and karaoke, and no one is correcting him because he is old and it would be impolite?

And "Big Guy" from WKRP joined in. It was a "menage-a-Dudley." A very special episode for sure.

Hate? No. Can't say I've had the pleasure of being dragged to a show that I had such disdain for.

Now, complete indifference? Sure, many times. Damn near every act I've seen at the watering holes in town have me thinking "who the fuck are these guys" and I usually end up having a really good time.

...and you mention nothing about their music which leads me to believe that if it was just them, their instruments, and a few spotlights, the show would suck.

That says more about how "good" they are than anything.

Entertainment is more than just profiency at one's craft. Die Hard wouldnt be as good if you cut out the explosions and replaced Bruce Willis with Laurence Olivier. The acting would probably have been better but the experience wouldn't have been as entertaining.

Bad example. An action movie needs explosions and such. A rock show does not.
