Would be a nice 1-2 punch with Forte.

Would be great. I really don't understand it because he could start for some team.

Yeah I'm not sure why a team like the Bengals, with a ton of cap space and a definite need, don't outbid everyone else for him. He's the only starter on the market.

Now you can let Forte walk after you stop Franchising him and not get stuck in a trap of having to pay him Arian Foster money. Nice signing.

Hey with Omiyale gone, the OLine is already better.

Its too bad he didn't sign with the NFC north.

Meh. Probably not a game changer - hopefully he can stay in bounds when we need to run out the clock.

This was a strategic move by Phil Emery to kill Terry Boers. As long as that doesn't occur, love this signing.

I think they would like to have them both healthy and under contract. I dont want to be called racist, but wasnt Forte offered a pretty good deal and declined it? That is his choice, but the Bears have to move on if they cant reach an agreement.

Not at all. Outstanding move. Wanted him when I saw him on the list but I thought he'd get big money. Now trade Forte for picks and they're on their way. Draft an RB to split time with Bush. This situation is not going to go nicely.

Yeah, I love undercutting pain in the ass players who don't know a fair contract offer when they see one. Was kind of hoping to see Wimbley too, with the possibility of Briggs taking a walk.

The trade possibilities with Forte are strong. And I'm totally fine with that. I'm also totally fine with having them both.

Why would you trade Forte now? He's still better than Bush and the Bears have more leverage to get a deal done.

If it gets ugly, at least you have options. He has value.

Of course Im hoping that he comes to the realization that this is a 2-back league, and that he somehow adopts realistic expectations of his worth in this league.

I would take playing the Bears with Bush over the Bears with Forte any day. Forte is a special player.

Because now you can get something of value for him. Do the Bears want to get a deal done? I have a feeling that it would have been wrapped up by now if they did. Even if he does have a good year, he'll be 1 year older with another year of wear and tear. The Bears franchise him again next year, he's gonna be even more pissed and might suddenly come up with some groin problems or other "injuries" that would keep him off the field and as healthy as possible. Not saying that's his game plan, but I could see it happening. This is going to get ugly.
