This is still a great metal album...2001. Most of the guys are from the area. This is still when singers sang instead of screamed at you or did the cookie monster thing.
The guitar player now owns a concrete company in Mundelein.

I passed on this for the time being after I learned that John Frusciante wasn't a part of this album or the band for that matter. I found some of his solo material on Amazon, but it's kind of hard to get into.

Finally got around to this one. I can't get over how generic the opening track feels. It's not a bad song, but every other album he's played on from GNR to Snakepit to Velvet Revolver has an excellent opening track that sets a good tone for the rest of the album.

Even the album cover itself looks like Clip Art from Microsoft Office.

The new Spiritualized album is much more interesting than recent efforts, but still nowhere near the early 90s stuff.

Ehhhh, I'd say 3 albums plus a pretty good EP in between. And then a miserably failed attempt at pop-stardom for some stupid reason. She was way better as a slutty, indie, folkie type. Way, WAY better.

I will say, I acquired Exile in Guyville, Whip Smart, and the self titled pop album for all of 6 bucks on eBay. The self titled pop album has a couple of good songs, but nothing holds up to the first 2 albums...which one is the 3rd one you refer to, Spanks?

"Whitechocolatespaceegg" is a good album. Just before the "transition" to shittiness. Little more keys and production than the other two, but not poppy.

There is an EP called "Juvenalia" which is pretty damn good. Now that you've reminded me I think I'll bust that out to listen to.
