Any one do any of the tours on the Bourbon trail? Thinking of stopping in Jim Beam tomorrow and was wondering if it is worth it?

I did the one at Buffalo Trace a few years ago. It was really cool, and if you have 45 minutes to kill, totally worth it. Interesting history lesson too as far as the economics of it and how it affected that area. The "angel's share" has to be experienced in person to truly appreciate it.

We are checking out jb as we have some time but also are keeping a eye on the weather. Next time we go towards Lexington we will stop at other places.

I went to Woodford Reserve. It is the smallest of the distileries but has a great tour. Don't buy bourbon there. They intentionally inflate the prices so that the are not a competitor with their local sellers.

It was worth it. Free bourbon. Might try Makers mark another time as it is a bit of a drive off the main drag.

I am a Maker's Mark Ambassador, and there is a barrel with my name on it, aging in the distillery. I have no access to this barrel, but I can see a picture of it on their website.

I am going to see if my brother can stop and pick me up some. He's doing some stops next week on the trail when he comes down this way to go to the smokie mt. area

The "Angel's Share" was definitely a thing to behold and to learn how that gets people busted.
