Last night's shootout goal by Sharp is the first one this year by someone not named Toews or Kane.

Crazy.

That's pretty damn impressive... Not enough Bolland and too much Stalberg(He's only had 4 chances)

Game 6 of 6 with the Blues tonight, you know the drill: they have the best goaltending in the league, they run a trap but dear god don't call it that in front of their fans, Backes and Reaves are still idiots. As well as the Blues have played, the Hawks have beat them both times at home and once on the road, so they can be had.

In terms of scoreboard watching, all we really have to keep an eye on is Sharks @ Coyotes. Sharks crapped the bed against Anaheim last night while the Stars and Kings won, so we're back to Dallas in 3rd, with LA 7th, SJ 8th, Phoenix 9th. Avs are clinging by a mere thread fiber, the Flames are done. A Sharks win puts them back into 3rd, a Coyotes win puts them in a tie for the division lead (Stars stay in 3rd with a game in hand and at least three more outright wins) and knocks the Sharks out of the field. For now.

Encouraging first period, except for the part where Crawford gave up a game-tying goal nine seconds after Bickell scored. That's okay, these guys give up lots of opportunities

Man, Crawford really is horrible, isn't he. He'd better bounce back next year. This can't go on much longer.

Gotta be happy with the loser point against a 1st place team. I guess. Sigh.

Sharks down 1-0 in Phoenix with 17 minutes on the clock. What an embarrassing team. Getting their choking done early.

Stalberg has been great. He's earned himself some new paper for sure. Kruger is playing solidly as well. Would like to see him contribute a bit more in the scoring goals department, but his presence settles our lines so nicely.

When 19 comes back: first two lines should look like 88-10-81 10-16-25. That's an excellent top 6 with the way Stals is playing

They played a near perfect game for 2.5 periods, then coughed up the game. They dominated every aspect until the last 12 minutes. It's a damn shame that you can't hold a 2 goal lead at home......

They went on to win the game, but when you outplay a team by that margin, you should win most times. Unfortunately, the Hawks do this all the time.

Little of both, really. Gotta keep pressing after you score; can't get pushed back down the ice 9 and 55 seconds later.

Instead of giving last 5s and goal averages, today's exercise:

Predict the time, scorers, and ensuing score of the goal that causes you to say "welp, that's it for us" and turn the television off.

I'm going with Shea Weber from Ryan Suter and Mike Fisher at 24:36 to make it 4-1.

Nice to get off to a 1-0 lead on the road, but the power play is still godawful.

Crawford keeping them in the game; should be 2-1 Preds after the first. Defense again lacking.

Yeah, didn't see the first two (was late coming in), but that last one was just awful.

Oduya having bad night with the puck; cost a goal :x; of course, Hossa trying to force that pass started the ball rolling. Looked like a laugher; now it's a game
