Is LoHo's fake-ass, over the top cackle he does at least once per show the most irritating thing conceivable, or merely the most irritating thing that has ever existed in human history?

I mean, I guess it's hard to prove a negative, but I'm having a hard time imagining anything being more irritating.

If hard evidence was produced that showed the suicide rate temporarily rises when Laurence Holmes hosts a show, would it surprise you even mildly?

It wouldn't. He is Tom Hanks in Big....a kid trapped in an (supposedly) adults body.

I have to give the devil his due. Larry works pretty well with Spiegel. Keep them together, along with Terry and Goff, and put Mac with BernSTINE. Shake shit up a bit.

Well, while it is true that five Chicago area infants have tragically been shaken to death due to Michael-Mulligan-laugh-induced rage (MMLIR), LoHo's laugh is nevertheless more irritating. The only solace in the whole thing is that he mercifully utilizes it less often.

After listening to Boers w/o BernSTINE I would say that it is a possibility that Boers would actually wake up, be lucid and contribute to a show if he was paired w/Goff or anyone else he doesn't hate, for that matter. But, those days may have been just a temporary thing, who knows.

Whatever you do, don't start noticing the way Larry says the word "on."

Oh shit, I just ruined it for you.

Oh, it's oooooohohawwwwwn! Seriously, the man manages to make as many as 15 vowel sounds with every pronunciation of the word "on."

No radio discipline what so ever. From shrieking like a little bitch to the need to yell at almost any opportunity. Not Mulligan yelling which has some perceptible intonation (loudmouth) but yelling for the sake yelling.

To be the son of English teachers his lack of vocabulary and mispronunciations are a big tell.

Terry = teary
Get = git

I've listened far more than care or have needed. I can't wait for Mac's return which will coincide with the start of White Sox baseball.

It is pretty phony but as others have said, since it happens fairly infrequently it's not as bad as Mully & Hanley's guffawing or Teary's near-constant laughter at things nobody else apparently hears or finds to be funny. I swear he spends at least 50% of the show laughing at things that no one else is laughing at. He's like Robin Quivers.

It's like noticing how often Teary says "Look" or how often Silvy says "Tweet", "Twitter", or "Tweeted."

I've got to give Laurence some credit during the last two weeks (or however long he's been on with Speigel). He hasn't been too bad and has kept the tough guy/ladies man stuff to a minimum, at least when I've been listening. Although, I've gone from not having much of an opinion on Speigel to disliking him.

Professor Holmes will address all complaints during his office hours, Monday and Wednesday from 3:10 - 4:40.

LOL @ "Teary." But yeah, that and "I."

Did you know: if you took B&B shows from the past, and muted it every time Terry said "I" or "look," you'd remove over 83% of his overall participation in the show, and remove his contributions entirely from 8% of shows.

"Look, look, I, I, I, I..... look, I, I."
