I lived in those neighborhoods at one time or another....and to my knowledge, my family didn't steal and wasn't on food stamps.

Just saying to be careful, just because you see a lot of something, doesn't mean that everyone is like that.


I'll never forget when a DCFS worker came to check on me when I was about 11 or 12, and he was surprised because he was expecting to talk to some troubled, gangbanging kid and instead he found some goofy kid that wondered if Chico Walker was going to do anything for the Cubs that year.
