This notion that he's not clutch and the stat that's been thrown around that he's 1-9 on game winning shots in his career. Yeah. I'd like that to be better.

But what about the times we're down 8 going into the 4th and he scores 10-18 points in that quarter and we end up having a comfortable lead at the end.

Or how about the times when we're down 1 and he hits a 3 with 50 seconds left and then we go on to win. Technically, that's not a game winning shot but cmon isn't that clutch?

Or how about him just having an evenly spread out game where he scores 30-35 and we blow a team out.

Ya know. He's a little guy and mostly a jump shooter yet he shot 45% this year. He averaged 21 points That's pretty damn good for a jump shooter. Actually that's excellent. Look at some of Iverson's percentages through the years (40-42% a handful of years). People say Gordon is not consistent. I'm just guessing here but I'll bet he shot below 40% only 10-12 times this 82 game season. That's pretty damn consistent. Plus, how many bad or wild shots does Gordon take. Barely any for a guy with a 21 point average.

I mean, don't my above examples show clutch performances? Maybe not the game winning shots at the buzzer but there's more to being clutch then hitting those shots like I've cited. Thank you. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

The not clutch tag on Gordon is not fair. He has the eye of the tiger when clutch times comes around. He isn't passive when he has the open shot and the 1-9 stat will even out over time. However, his lack of defense coupled with his size is the problem I have with him.
Most of the star/superstar little men play good defense. If he does that then I would consider him a star player. Until his defense improves, he is just a very good player.

Ya know. I'll take a "very good player" any day of the week. LOL.
