We see the Wal-Mart in Skokie every other week. If you don't shop there then money not important to you. Big-time savings, gotta be a dope not to take advantage.

I guess only suburban people like to save money. Say what you want, but
Walmart is cheaper on most products. That's why America shops there.

Walgreens had a similar drink called ICE. It is zero calories + vitamins.
OK taste wise

Can it really be considered big time savings if what you are buying is all shit? I only buy cat litter there which basically supports my first statement.

Me too. It feels like a country club when I'm in there. Especially when I see the slurpee machine next to the week old nachos.

I'll admit, they do have the best deals on flip flops.

...or someone who believes that Wal-Mart does far more harm than good and even though they provide lower prices they contribute greatly to the growing divide between the lower and lower middle class and the upper middle and upper class.

But hey, you saved 13 cents on that can of corn so it's all good.

There is no Walmart in Skokie.

There are two, however, in the craphole known as Niles. We've nicknamed the one on Touhy the creature cantina (from Star Wars). It's total anarchy in there...

The absolute worst Walmart in the area is the one in Forest Park. They are keeping it open while they are remodeling, and you don't know where the hell anything is......and good luck finding a few cashiers during the late night.

Believe it or not, the city's first Walmart on the west side (North Ave and Cicero) is run very tightly.

The worst Wal Mart I've been to in the area is the one just north of Ford City on Cicero ave. The one on Harlem in Bridgeview is a close second. 95th and Western is pretty nice, I like going there except during Christmastime.

Been to Walmart once in the last two years. Needed a brace late one spring evening in Joliet. Didn't want to go there. Hopefully that will be the last thing I ever buy in a Wal-Mart or Sam's Club.

Moved our prescriptions from Walgreens to Target.

Cost went from $57/month to $32 for 3 months.

Look into a mail order Rx service, like PrimeMail. We use them for my mother in law's scrips. You get 90 day supplies for 60 day prices. It saves a lot of money, when you swallow as many pills as she does.

Amen, BRick. I'll gladly pay an extra 5 bucks than support that gang of thieves. WalMart closed their original smaller store in my hometown to move less than 3 miles away to open a Super WalMart (and of course a whole new round of tax breaks) which is located less than 20 minutes away from another Super WalMart. I hate that place.

I just hate Walmart because of the crowds and the long lines.....otherwise, they're OK with me.

If bigfan never goes to Walmart, thats actually a reason for me to start going there more often.
