Doing a little mental math here and I don't think the Hawks can fall below sixth place. Even if they were to lose the next three and another team were to win their next three, they'd still trail in outright wins. So let's just hope for San Jose (8th, 1 point back) or Dallas (9th, 2 points back) to ascend to "third" and not trap/goaltend us to death.

The Wild are terrible. Just flat-out terrible. They had a good thing going through about mid-December, but good god they've been bad since then. 24 regulation/overtime wins, that's one more than the Beej, and two fewer than the Oilers and Islanders. However, shootouts and overtime losses inflate them to a pseudo-respectable 76 points.

Minnesota is DEAD LAST in scoring with 2.038 goals per game. Two quality chances at the ever-elusive shutout. Come on, guys.

Not much on the out-of-town scoreboard except the Red Wings hosting the Panthers. The Panthers are steathily shitty, so don't be surprised if this is a Statement Game where the Wings rip their assholes like 7-1.
