Today, "Boers & Bernstein" are on the road again. With the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship between Kentucky & Kansas in New Orleans a few hours away, Terry & Dan B. originate this afternoon's show from Cube Sports Bar inside Rivers Casino in Des Plaines. You can bet the guys will have a preview of tonight's National Championship game and whether or not John Calipari wins his first title after getting denied by the Jeff Joniak-looking Bill Self 4 years ago in San Antonio when Self's Jayhawks beat Calipari's Memphis Tigers.

Also, there was a really, really bad Bulls' game on ABC yesterday in Oklahoma City. While I'm not surprised the Bulls, minus Derrick Rose (groin) & Rip Hamilton (shoulder), lost to a Thunder team that might be the best team in the NBA, it's the lack of effort & the possibility that Derrick does NOT play another regular season game this season that might merit discussion in addition to tonight's game vs. the Rockets at United Center.

Over at the U.C. yesterday, the Blackhawks lost their regular season home finale to the Wild in a shootout. Unfortunately for DIRECTV customers like me, you couldn't see it on WGN's CW9 due to a bitter dispute between Tribune Broadcasting & the satellite provider. It's a dispute that also might keep fans from watching the Cubs/Nationals' opener Thursday & Saturday night's White Sox/Rangers' game in Arlington, TX. All of that and a whole lot more with the guys live from the Cube at Rivers Casino this afternoon.

Here's the game plan as the guys broadcast live from Rivers Casino:

*3:20p: CBS Sports Network/Dial Global Radio's NCAA Basketball Analyst Steve Lappas
*3:30p: "The Second Half"

On-Site Producer: Brett "ManSlab" Lyons
On-Site Engineer: Dave "Still Affordable" Miska
Studio Producers: Matt "I'm Back" Abbatacola & Jason "Co-Hosting w/Bernsy Thursday" Goff
"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

It's the first of two straight live broadcasts from the Cube. The team of Zach Zaidman & Hub Arkush will also broadcast from there tonight at 6p followed by a solo Joe Ostrowski show at 10p on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com.

B&B just pissed off BRick with their lack of confidence in Robbie Hummel's NBA career.

Not sure if I can do an afternoon of basketball race relations. Two "all dese NBA players is a buncha thugs" strawmen in less than one hour.

 He's a great gamble as a second round pick but I can't fault anyone for doubting him. It's not because of injuries but because he may lack the required quickness to play the 3 and I don't see him as a 4.

Then again, no one thought Brad Miller and Cardinal would make it as long as they did either.

Yeah. The same guy that thinks that all college basketball players are just there to play basketball and there is no way that some or most of them are interested in getting a degree is getting on college fans for being racist that the NBA is full of thugs.

they are not talking about that dimwits. they are talking about the fact that the bulls have obfuscated rose's sports hernia. much hand-wringing about how the bulls' season is done.

I heard Derrick Rose talking to reporters after yesterday's debacle in Oklahoma City regarding his groin injury. While Rose is confident that he'll be back before the end of the NBA's crammed 66-game regular season schedule, read between the lines, and I'm not so sure he'll be back at all before the Bulls' regular season finale vs. the Cavaliers April 26th.

I was hoping that Rose would be good to go Thursday night when the Bulls host the Celtics on the Bulls' favorite national cable channel TNT at 8:30p-ish or next Sunday when the Bulls face the Knicks in New York in another ABC game on Easter. The fact of the matter is that he's still not running and hasn't participated in contact drills. Until Rose is pain-free, I'm not holding my breath that Derrick's return is imminent. Honest.

As for Rip Hamilton, I'm getting a little tired of getting teased. All indications were he was going to play Friday vs. the Pistons and/or yesterday vs. the Thunder in OKC, but no! If Rip's shoulder is ready, strap on the balls and play tonight vs. the Rockets!

Did they just say they don't have a problem with Bob Huggins? They better go back and listen to some old B&B shows from 2000 to 2003.

WYC 5:00 Thursday.....

And the majority of fans are not pining for the Golden Years of College Basketball. The quality of play in the NBA is getting worse even though the players are better....and that should not be. And if this continues the popularity spread between NFL and NBA will only get wider.

There's a lot of bad in the NBA as is...The college game lacks actual talent who doesn't stick around long enough, while the coaches are the stars.

Now Dan said Columnists should hand in their creds if they root for a team? Last week he said that was OK to a caller because they are paid to have an opinion.....

PICK A LANE.

I only listen for the non-sports discussion. This show needs Les Sports.

That must be Steve Lappas, the CBS Sports Network analyst who's supposed to be in New Orleans for tonight's NCAA Championship Game between Kentucky & Kansas for Dial Global/NCAA Radio Network. He must be on a cell not far from the Superdome...
